I graduated 20 years ago with first class honors. I have embraced learning and personal development throughout my career and am one of only a small handful of chiropractors in the UK who are certified in Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (Claire Laidler is one of the others!)
I am a Test of Competence Assessor for the General Chiropractic Council a role which involves sitting on a panel to evaluate the competency of overseas chiropractors applying to practice in the UK, assessing their written evidence and conducting interviews to determine if they meet the required standards of practice set by the GCC. This is done through a process called the “Test of Competence” where they must demonstrate their abilities against the GCC’s code of practice.
I am also a PRT trainer for the Royal College of Chiropractors supporting new graduates at the start of their careers.
Well, I don’t know if it’s cool, but it was very hot at times…my husband and I lived and worked in Spain for about 4 years, renovating an old cortijo and bringing the neglected orange groves back to life!
I am a bit of a work-a-holic, that’s no secret! Down time is spent with my (now quite grown up) kids Florence and Felix and husband Jonny travelling, spending time with friends, cooking and eating!
Now that’s a tough one, I love most food….it’s probably easier to list the ones I don’t like – mushrooms and egg white…but it’s ok hard boiled as part of egg mayonnaise!
I love to travel and really my heart belongs to Spain. Hiking in Andalucia in the spring when all the wildflowers are out, Malaga city is wonderful at any time of the year and the Canaries take a bit of beating in the winter especially.
I’m quite into series, all time favorite is “Money Heist.” the best one I’ve watched for a while is “Brassic” Jon and I literally cried with laughter, but film, hmm, possibly The Green Mile?
